Lock No 74, Trent and Mersey Canal, Middlewich
This is the bottom lock of the Middlewich Three, seen from the lock above and exposing the canalscape of the town. It can be seen that Middlewich is not one of those twee canalside towns where they cut the lockside grass with nailscissors. It is still now, and always has been, a real working salt town of great character.
