Frost at Cherry Orchard
The trees in the middle of the picture line the Coventry to Leamington railway line. The buildings behind them are some of the flats in Albion Street. The top of the spire of St. Nicholas church can just be seen in the distance.

Kenilworth Domestic Refuse Recycling site
The site is located on the site of the Cherry Orchard Brick Works which were operating up until about the '70s or '80s. The orchard and the works disappeared under houses and this site.

Frost by the recycling centre
This site was originally an orchard, then a brick clay pit and later a landfill site. It is now an informal recreation and nature area, with a small section of the site retained as a recycling centre, which is behind the fence seen on the left. The ditch in the foreground runs all the way around the former landfill area - I understand it is designed to prevent an uncontrolled spread of landfill gases from the area. At the far end of the fence can just be seen the chimney of the burner for the landfill gas - I understand that the burner is operated for a couple of hours every week or so.
