Arden's deli and coffee shop, Talisman
Arden's had just opened when this photo was taken, in a new unit created as part of the Talisman Square refurbishment on the walkway between the main part of the square and Waitrose. Note the differences in colour of the timber cladding on the wall above which was installed about a year ago. The majority of the timber has become silver-grey, but the small section below the projecting bay window has been protected from the rain and weather and is still a brown colour.

Battle of the coffee shops, Talisman Square
They are facing off at the entrance to the square from Waitrose. In fact they seem to have quite different clienteles, hipsters with laptops on the left, more traditional English cafe customers to the right.

Two sides of Talisman Square
The Talisman Square shopping precinct in Kenilworth has been partly refurbished - the shops on the right are completed, the ones on the left have been boarded up for months awaiting their turn. There's no sign of work starting any time soon.

Christmas tree in Talisman Square
The square on the morning after the first light snowfall of the year, with a tree organised by the Rotary Club of Kenilworth. 'Talisman', the name for this development now used by the owners, doesn't seem quite right - most people still use the name Talisman Square.
