Christmas comes early around Harbury
Mid-October might be considered a reasonable time to advertise Christmas fare. However, the painted sign is permanent - it's Christmas all year round apparently - and the printed banner has been displayed since September.

Great Western Hotel
This hotel was associated with Harbury Station on Brunel's Great Western Line. It was originally on the Birmingham and Oxford Junction Railway, which was taken over by the Great Western Railway. It continued as a station under British Railways until it was closed to goods traffic on 11 November 1963, and then to passengers on 2 November 1964. It was later demolished and hardly any traces remain. The track is now part of the Chiltern Main Line.
