Palmer's Farm
This is now at the heart of the Mary Arden Tudor Farm, a re-creation of a working Elizabethan farmstead. The elaborate timber work on the front of the building is not structural, but is there for show. Sawn timber was very expensive, so using a lot of it on your house was a way of showing off.
