Closing down sale, Homebase Garden Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon
Viewed across Wharf Road in late August 2014, when national newspapers were reporting that Homebase had accelerated its programme to close unprofitable stores. There was speculation that it may sell the business. Hundreds of employees had been put on notice of redundancy.
