The Limes, Bishopton
Bishopton was formerly a separate development of mainly Victorian villas and large houses on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon. Now it is surrounded by housing estates and industrial units which have infilled formerly green fields. This building survives and was formerly called The Limes. It is now used for a children's nursery.

Bishopton House
This handsome house was one of only a handful of primarily Victorian villas in this area of Bishopton. Various plans were made in the 19th century to develop the area as a spa, then as housing with all the plans falling through. Ironically a century later this area is now developed for housing, with Bishopton House now part of an upmarket housing complex and the building itself apparently turned into flats.

Bishopton Lodge
Bishopton was a separate development of a select few mainly Victorian villas and large houses on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon. Now it is surrounded by new build estates and industrial units. This house still stands in its (much reduced) grounds and is now flats.

Welcome to Stratford-upon-Avon
The sign is alongside the A3400 Birmingham Road in the Bishopton district in the NW of Stratford. No mention of The Bard on this sign - no doubt because most visitors know about William Shakespeare but few are likely to know about Stratford's Britain in Bloom success.
