This timber-framed cottage dates from the 16th/17th century. The cottage is Grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1382174?section=official-list-entry which describes it as currently being an outbuilding. This building is of particular historical interest because it is believed to have been owned by Richard Shakespeare, the grandfather of playwright William Shakespeare; it is thought to be the birthplace of John Shakespeare, and brother Henry (Harry), father and uncle of William Shakespeare.
