Shipston-on-Stour: Sunday morning in Sheep Street
A handsome street of modestly-sized houses, mainly 18th-century. "Several houses have date plaques, and those of 1700 and even 1714 are Jacobean rather than Queen Anne in style" (Nikolaus Pevsner).

Stokes House, Shipston on Stour
This nice old house has the date 1715 on its front wall. It also has a huge bulge in its front wall that has pushed out the ground floor dormer window. Thankfully it looks to have been sensitively repaired and the property seems in good condition.

Sheep Street
The street is mainly residential today, but from the appearance of many of the fronts of the buildings, it would seem that at one time quite a few were in use for businesses. On the right can be seen a building with a large archway, which quite possibly was once a coaching inn.
