A timber framed and partially weatherboarded cottage being re-thatched ca. 1981. Known as Forge Cottage, it dates from the 17th century and is grade II listed

Woodcote Lane junction, Leek Wootton
The cottage on the corner, dating from ca. 17th century has a modern extension to its south wall which, at the time of this photo (c.1981), had not yet been thatched.

Leek Wootton
A pair of adjoining cottages with different aged thatch. When this photo was taken, about 1981, the cottage on the left was being renovated. English Heritage describes both cottages as dating from c. 17th century and they are grade II listed.
