Front line
A line of new housing creeps towards this old barn on the outskirts of Warwick. The town has seen major development on greenfield sites like this in recent years. Most of the new houses are bland identikit designs intended to squeeze as many units on site as possible. These are no exception.

Narrow Hall Meadow, South-West Warwick
Narrow Hall Meadow is a new road from Stratford Road into the Warwick Chase estate being developed by Taylor Wimpey. Their banners can be seen along the road. It was planned long ago Image Some of Warwick Chase can be seen in Image The residential development at South-West Warwick began with Chase Meadows, off the Hampton Road, developed by Taylor Woodrow. A more complete network of roads is now in place. Note the verge formed from turves over somewhat lumpy ground and here in the grip of frost: not good.

Chase Meadows Lake, Warwick
This lake on a new housing estate is a fine amenity. It has very strong steel railings all around it, apart from the pedestrian access points, to indicate it is a potential hazard to young children.

Industrial units at Warwick
These units have been built alongside new housing on formerly greenfield sites on the outskirts of Warwick. No doubt the proximity of the M40 motorway was key to their positioning.

New housing in Warwick
These new houses have just been completed on a greenfield site in Warwick. They are a typical example of the fairly bland, standardised architecture used in most mass market housing developments around the town recently.
