Pawpaw was launched by James Duong in Royal Leamington Spa in 2002. In 2015 there are two other Pawpaws, one in Banbury (dine in or takeaway) and this one, a takeaway at 40 West Street, Warwick.

The Pottery Paint Shop website state that this is a 'create your own pottery' studio, which offers you the opportunity to make one-of-a-kind, hand-painted pieces and keepsakes in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The shop specialises in baby foot and hand prints on pottery and in clay. Painting commissions are undertaken on request. The eco-friendly studio uses lead-free glaze and nontoxic paints.

Number 28 West Street is early 19th century in red brick. The two canted bay windows, one of them oriel, are later additions. Warwick Racecourse is located just west of the town centre. The Grand Union Canal passes through the town and the restored Saltisford Canal Arm is close to the town centre.
