Portobello Bridge, Milverton
Taking the main road between Leamington Spa and Warwick over the River Avon, this view has only become possible recently with the demolition of the old Potterton works.

Portobello bridge, River Avon
This view shows the western arch of this listed structure with the footway extension on the south side and supporting columns.
Proposals to remove the extensions, restore the stone parapets, and still accommodate vehicle, foot and cycle traffic are causing much head-scratching.

Perforated screen wall, Mill House estate, Leamington Spa
Perforated walls are great. They give some privacy but allow light and glimpses in; they have lower wind resistance than a solid wall, allowing some air movement through; they can be visually interesting (unlike this example) and they save bricks!

Confluence of the River Leam and the River Avon, from the Warwick side
The Leam, centre, has slowly skirted the Edmondscote area of Leamington, across the river here, to join the Avon, moving slowly left to right downstream from Portobello Bridge. The Avon has come south from Stoneleigh and will soon turn southwest through south Warwick on its way to Stratford-upon-Avon.
