Unfinished development off Kempton Drive, Royal Leamington Spa
A notice on the fence states "Apartments and town houses for sale". All that has been built so far is the frame of the ground floor which is intended to house garages. The residential accommodation is/was intended to be built above the garages. Apparently there has been no building activity here for some years, presumably because of the recession. Webs on shrubs, Waterfront estate, Warwick
It is understood that these webs are spun by Ermine Moth caterpillars to protect themselves from predators while they eat the leaves. The shrub bed is at the junction of Sir Anthony Eden Way and Kempton Drive.

Living shrubs, Waterfront estate, Warwick
These are the shrubs that were photographed covered in webbing in June 2022: Image Their leaves had been eaten by Ermine Moth caterpillars who had protected themselves from predators by spinning webs. In a recent visit to the scene curiosity about the shrubs' fate gave way to astonishment at finding the plants recovered and in full leaf. They may be a species of Euonymus (Spindle) – time will tell.

Rock Mill
In the 1790s there was a water powered cotton mill on this site beside the Avon in Milverton. This was subsequently converted to the production of flour and, to overcome the limitations of variable and limited flows steam power was subsequently added, hence the chimney to the left on the trees. After a period of near dereliction thankfully this historic structure survives, albeit converted into upmarket flats.
