The county council undertook some just-in-time works in Warwick ahead of the relay, which visited Warwick, Leamington and Kenilworth on Sunday 1st July 2012 before heading off to Coventry. A very fine buff pea gravel has been spread over hot bitumen emulsion. It was then rolled and the surplus swept off. At the end of the street is Eastgate surmounted by a former chapel and clock tower.

The ornate timber curved studding on this building is very much a status symbol of wealth. Studding of this style generally dates a building to between 1570 and 1620. Number 20 Jury Street is 18th century with a later stucco facade. The elliptical window in the attic is an attractive feature. A room on the first floor retains the original panelling. Now part of Neville Court, a 20th century residential development which incorporates a number of buildings fronting onto Jury Street. This fine building comprising numbers 12 and 14 Jury Street is early 17th century, timber framed with the second floor jettied. The neoclassical rusticated ground floor in stucco is ill at ease with the restored timber framing above.
