The estate was planned in 1927 but scarcely developed until after the second world war. All the roads are named after Scottish places and people "because of the ancestry of the landowners".

Cubbington Waterworks site, South View Road
Royal Leamington Spa Corporation augmented its water supply by sinking a borehole here in 1888, just within the borough. Sometimes referred to as Lillington waterworks, its building was not without charm. In recent years the site has been redeveloped for housing although some control equipment has been installed, right.
