Bath Assembly Hall
Grade II listed: http://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1391731 and built in 1926 as a dance hall. It was later renamed the Palais de Danse and then in 1952 became the Embassy Ballroom. It later became home to Gala Bingo. After that closed it was a garage for some time Image before being restored and in 2008 it re-opened as a music venue known simply as The Assembly http://web.archive.org/web/20160812215353/http://leamingtonassembly.com/about/ On the ground floor are the Zephyr Lounge and a record shop, Seismic Records. At the top of the building Image, holding a golden globe, is the depiction of a young woman clad in classical Greek robes, perhaps representing Terpsichore Image, the Muse of choral song and dance. The Bath Assembly: Architectural detail

The Assembly
Music venue in Spencer Street opened in 2008. It was built in 1927 and was originally a dance hall called the Bath Assembly Hall, later renamed the Palais de Danse and then in 1952 the Embassy Ballroom.
