New mural, Sydni Centre, south Leamington
This was during a lockdown, I think. Contrary to appearances the play areas were busy with families. The execution of the mural was keenly observed. The Sydni Centre is a thriving community hub in the heart of the Sydenham estate.

Freshwater Grove, Sydenham Estate, Leamington
The first part of the estate was laid out in the early 1970s on Radburn principles. A distributor road served parallel closes of terraced houses. There was pedestrian access and open space to the frontages, as in the photo, with a common vehicle access to the rear of adjacent closes. This became problematic for deliveries and refuse collection and as vehicle ownership increased. Later parts of the estate are more conventionally laid out while the original open spaces have matured into pleasant amenities.

Houses on the Sydenham Estate
Until the late 20th C most of this square was occupied by Sydenham Farm and its fields. A large number of the houses do not have direct car access but have a garage a short distance away.
