Twin railway bridges over the Oxford Canal
Rugby is famous as a railway town - Dickens referred to it as "Mugby Junction" in a series of short stories. In this photo two converging railway lines are seen crossing the Oxford Canal on their way to Rugby a few miles to the west of here.

Oxford Canal: Northern Hillmorton railway bridge
The former London & North Western Railway's two main lines joined at a junction to the south-east of Rugby, but north-west of the canal, necessitating the construction of two separate bridges over the canal in close proximity, about 50 metres apart, to one another. This is the northern one of the pair, carrying the line from Northampton.
