Postbox topper at Cawston
A jubilee-themed topper ('yarn bomb') has appeared on this postbox on Gerard Road. The effort is impressive but the crown does seem to have gone a bit wonky.

This play area on the Cawston Grange Estate is not fenced in so Rugby Council have had to place a coronavirus closure notice on each separate item of equipment including this zip wire.

Cawston Grange Drive, Cawston Grange Estate
The green lights of the pelican crossing on Cawston Grange Drive glare through the murk as the freezing fog thickens in the encroaching dusk. In foggy conditions sounds are muted and the Covid-19 lockdown has reduced traffic levels creating an eerie silence on this normally busy road.

The extensive Cawston Grange estate has been built to incorporate plenty of green space, based to some extent around the old field pattern, including this well-equipped play area. Access is from a path leading north from Gerard Road.

The snow on Judith Way seems to be barely disturbed on this Monday morning. The road is named after Judith Boughton an 18th century member of the family that owned the Manor of Cawston.
