JJ Churchill, Market Bosworth
Precision engineering company on the south side of Station Road. Founded by Walter Churchill on Christmas Day 1937, Churchill Components, as the company was first known, was based in Coventry and supplied machined parts such as exhaust values for radial aero-engines to Armstrong-Siddeley. After being blitzed out of Coventry in 1941, the company relocated to Market Bosworth.

Former station building, Market Bosworth
This station building alongside the preserved Battlefield Line is no longer in railway use and appears to be part of Station Garage. The diesel shunting engine and rolling stock are part of the Battlefield Line.

Market Bosworth Station
Compared with this scene from five years earlier Image, Market Bosworth Station is looking a little down-at-heel. In fact the intermediate station on the Battlefield Line is currently closed, with trains running through non-stop, probably as a result of Covid-19 disruption. The first vehicle in the siding is a former British Rail mark III coach.

Driver's eye view, Market Bosworth Station
On the preserved Battlefield Line. A view from inside a diesel multiple unit. I have spent many happy hours sat behind drivers of similar trains, mainly on the Huddersfield to Sheffield line.
