Thanet District Council has set up a long-term programme called ‘Live Margate’ that involves buying existing properties and turning them into quality family homes. The Sliding House, Cliftonville
Situated in Godwin Road, this is the creation of artist Alex Chinneck. It was a 19th century house compulsorily purchased by Thanet District Council after being empty for ll years. The art work will exist for a year before being pulled down.
