This 18th century building, number 2 Station Road, is home to The Pistachio restaurant, previously The Mulberry Tea Rooms. Constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings and quoins under a tile roof with shaped Dutch gables. Birchington-on-Sea is a seaside village some 7 miles east of Herne Bay and some 3½ miles west of Margate. There is evidence of occupation from the Iron Age. As a resort, the village has a tourism based economy, with hotels, caravan parks and leisure attractions. Many retirees make the village their home.

The font in All Saints Church, Birchington
The 13th century font was moved from the south door to the north doorway in 1990. The door, which was used for paupers' burials, was blocked up in 1863. It now displays a memorial board to the men and women of the parish who "gave their lives for freedom" in World War 2.
