Original Artwork at Court Manor Park Home Site
Court Manor Park Home Site off Canterbury Road in Birchington is teeming with shrubs and hedges cut into various shapes! This hedge at the entrance to the site has got to be the most original one of the lot - it certainly must have required some exceptional pruning skills to make!

Fountain-shaped hedge in Court Manor Park Home Site
This is another wonderfully trimmed hedge - in the shape of a fountain! This can be found if one walks left from the entrance and looks along the gardens of the row of homes on the left hand side. View taken looking east-northeast just inside the top edge of the square. Note also the unusual pebbledashed shed on the left in the photo!

1950s Stanton and Staveley concrete lamp post on Essex Gardens
Essex Gardens had this lovely 1950s Stanton and Staveley concrete lamp post with a Revo Prefect lantern on its turf, until the council replaced it earlier this year with a modern lamp and column. A fellow streetlight enthusiast of mine actually lives here and it was both of us who discovered this little treasure! One thing which strikes me as odd on the OS map is that Essex Gardens is shown as a B road, which is hardly true as it's just an ordinary side street! To my knowledge, the only B road in this square is Minnis Road, which is where this road leads to. How strange! View taken looking northwest.
