Two derelict shops, 85 & 87, High Street
The one on the left was Bay Booze Corner and the other, to its right, The Bay Floral Centre, which, as the Auction House board proclaims, was sold at auction.

Briggsys Emporium, Herne Bay
The building is the former Herne Bay cinema. It was erected in 1899 and became a cinema, named "Cinema de Luxe", in 1911. It is no. 75 High Street.

Planning permission has been granted by Canterbury City Council under application numbers CA//14/00001 for “conversion of upper floors from commercial and associated residential accommodation to provide 6 one-bedroom flats” and CA//15/01733 for “external alterations to form new shop fronts together with formation of new rear fire exit and installation of externally positioned air-conditioning unit”.
