Entrance to Thornden Woods Nature Reserve
This gate is close to Radfall Road, Broomfield Gate. A footpath enters the reserve and woods heading to Thornden Wood Road or Frogs Island Farm. The reserve is managed by the Kent Wildlife Trust.

There is extensive woodland in this area between Chestfield and Canterbury. It is part of Blean Wood National Nature Reserve - see https://explorekent.org/activities/blean-woods-national-nature-reserve/ This entrance to Thornden Wood is where the private Broomfield Gate meets Radfall Hill.
