Whitstable Museum and Art Gallery, Oxford Street
Tucked between shops and set back from the street, it is easy to miss this little gem, crammed with local history about the place and its people, notably actor Peter Cushing who lived here for many years until his death in 1994.

A display of diving equipment in Whitstable Museum

Entrance to Whitstable Museum and Art Gallery, Oxford Street
The building was bought by the Whitstable branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters in 1881, hence the inscription "Foresters' Hall" over the doorway. It was opened as a museum in 1985.
