Looking NE along the Stour Valley Walk
In this direction the path joins Thruxted Lane on the corner with Bobbin Lodge Hill which it follows for a few metres before heading diagonally across a field towards Shalmsford Street.

View along Thruxted Lane
The lane appears to end at the railway line and then restart the other side, and comes out on Shalmsford Street, it may be possible to cross the railway on foot but I didn't investigate it.

There is a choice of two paths in the middle of this field, when walked from this direction the Stour Valley Walk is the left hand path heading further up the slope.
