White Cottage, 107 and 109 High Street, Wingham
Grade II Listed originally a Wealden hall-house built in the sixteenth century. Altered and extended in the early eighteenth century. Previously The White Cottage Restaurant, it is apparently shown as such in a Francis Frith photo https://www.francisfrith.com/wingham/wingham-white-cottage-high-street-c1960_w407022 of about 1960 (and possibly 1955) and was a restaurant when listed in 1987. At one stage Marilyn C Gilbert was chef/proprietor.
