Ye Olde Beverlie, Public House Canterbury
On Stephen's Road. This was a former parish Clerk building, also the home to a warden of the six attached almshouses. See also Image Built in 1573 for £500 by Sir Roger Manwood, Judge and M.P. He supplied a water conduit, pensions, clothing allowance and bread and fuel, he also hosted a Sunday dinner. The current residents receive modern facilities from the pubs rent.
