The west doorway of St Stephen's Church
The Norman nave dates from about 1100 with a long nave and the squat west tower built within the west end of the nave. The archway around the west door has Norman zigzag but John Newman in 'The Buildings of England: North-East and East Kent' suggests this has been partly rebuilt.
