It was reported, in Kent Online, on 23 September 2015 that the roadworks at Scanlon’s Bridge Road and Dymchurch Road, Hythe were going to mean two months of traffic chaos due to junction modifications and improvements http://www.kentonline.co.uk/folkestone/news/major-road-faces-weeks-of-43833/ This statement agrees with the road sign information that the work was to start on 15 September 2015 and to last 9 weeks.

Railway Terminus at Hythe
Hythe Station on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. The station opened in 1928 and is served by a 15" gauge light railway. The line runs to Dungeness via New Romney and is used by holidaymakers in the Summer.
