Dangerous road junction
Junction of Blackhouse Hill & Blackhouse Rise. For as long as I can remember cars tend to coming down the hill far too fast, residents turning onto the main road have to be careful since the corner is partially blind.

Road salt
In extreme cold conditions Blackhouse Hill can become quite treacherous, especially if the council gritters don't get out in time. This roadside salt bin is a reminder of how bad conditions can get.
