Sandgate: eastward on High Street towards Sandgate Hill
View eastward on A259: just up the road to the left had been Sandgate station, the terminus (closed 1/4/31 from Hythe) of the ex-SE&C branch from Sandling Junction, which had lasted until 3/12/51.

Sandgate Village Sign
On green at corner of Sandgate High Street (on right) and B2063 Military Road (on left).A War memorial is on the other side of Military Road. The post has a small metal plaque which reads 'This sign was unveiled by Councillor Paul Marsh Town Mayor of Folkestone on 20th February 1993. It was erected by Sandgate Society by means of a generous bequest by Mollie Hornsey with contributions from the Chart Trustees of Folkestone and local residents. Designed by Philip Ball. Built and painted by Brian O'Connor'.
