Winchelsea Street, Dover
A quiet traditional Victorian terrace. A converted pub on the corner with Winchelsea Road. At the end of the road is an entrance to Vale View Community School and Nursery.

The Chalk Pit, Priory Hill, Dover
Thousands of tons of chalk were removed from this area to the north of England to be used as flux in the manufacture of glass. The trade ceased when glass production moved to The Continent. The terraced houses of Winchelsea Rd. and Winchelsea St. were later built in 1865-66.
