Repairs to the entrance to the pier, Lord Warden Square
The pier is a grade II listed building. Planning permission has been granted by Dover District Council under application number DOV/11/01015 for the “renovation and repairs to include new roof coverings and glazing, steelwork, masonry and internal lighting together with protective panels to window openings”. One can gain access to the pier from this side of the building but the entrance had been sealed off. The St Jude storm inflicted damage to the pier so it was closed to the public soon afterwards.
