A useful shortcut for pedestrians between Beaconsfield Road and Bridge Street. In the distance, there are steel bollards embedded in the road surface, just beyond the parked car, to prevent vehicles using the shortcut as a rat-run. On the right, is The Red Lion public house.

River Dour, Dover
The railings on the left border a path that leads past Morrisons supermarket and emerges on Bridge Street. Maison Dieu Road is beyond the right hand railings while the church in the distance is that of St Peter and St Paul, which is situated in St Alphege Road

Looking south along Charlton Green
A white van is parked opposite number 47, where new double-glazed windows are being installed. A man is putting the finishing touches to a window on the first floor, while at the base of his ladder, there is a pile of the former window frames he has recently removed.
