Church of St Peter & St Paul, Beaconsfield Avenue, Dover
A Victorian church built to replace the small original church. The little church by the River Dour was felt to be inadequate and so a scheme for a new church was prepared by the architect James Brookes. The new church was built on the site of the old Charlton School and Master's House and was consecrated on St. Alphege Day, April 19th, 1893. The English Church Union met the cost of the chancel as a tribute to the heroism of the Rector, the Reverend Sidney Faithorn-Green, who spent twenty months in Lancaster Jail rather than recognise the authority of the Privy Council in church affairs.

Reconstruction of nos. 81-87 Barton Road
Scaffolding and plastic sheeting that has been erected over these houses so that work can be carried out to repair the fire-damaged roof and first floors of these properties. It was reported on 21 May 2014, in the Dover Express, how David Medvedev had been indefinitely detained in hospital the previous week for starting the fire that destroyed homes in this terrace http://www.dover-express.co.uk/EXCLUSIVE-Victims-forced-relive-Barton-Road/story-21120220-detail/story.html

St Alphege House, Frith Road
It is also situated on the corner of St Alphege Road, where a notice had been attached to a tree to warn motorists not to park their vehicles in front of two trees, marked with crosses to the right of the notice, as these were to be cut down on 22 July 2014.
