Charlton Shopping Centre
The main entrance in the High Street; it provides a short cut through the Image to the Image for Morrisons (and other supermarkets) but is temporarily closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Rebuilding work at the Charlton Centre

A T Blackman & Son, 39 High Street
The company was founded in 1919 immediately following the Great War by Arthur Thomas Blackman, who was a general builder, to repair war damage in Dover. The company expanded from building into plumbing and then gradually into central heating and kitchens http://www.atblackman.co.uk/about.asp Here, it appears scaffolding has been erected to provide a means of redecorating the exterior of the building. I have used the company myself for several jobs around the house and have no hesitation to recommend them unreservedly

One of five sets of seating; each parklet also contains space for plants and bicycle parking and has been inscribed on its back with information that the seating has been produced responsibly using sustainable materials including plastic waste collected from UK beaches https://www.southeastlep.com/new-scheme-to-install-five-parklets-in-dover-begins/
