The house (number 8), the other side of the lamppost, was being fitted with new windows, which required scaffolding to be erected on its frontage.

Development site, Castle Avenue
Planning permission has been granted by Dover District Council under application number DOV/21/01156 for the "erection of 3 attached dwellings, bin stores, associated car parking and formation of new vehicular access (existing double garage to be demolished)". The site lies between house numbers 20 and 24. and a copy of the planning application number DOV/20/531 has been affixed to the gate. This has been replaced by planning application number DOV/21/01156.

Evergreen oak, Connaught Park
There is a small plaque attached to the other side of the metal fence, encircling the tree, which reads “Connaught Park. This tree was planted by HRH Duchess of Connaught on the opening of the park (on) 14 July 1883. Richard Dickeson, mayor”.

Planning permission has been granted by Dover District Council under application number DOV/13/01115 for the “erection of detached dwelling and creation of vehicular access”. The house is being built in the garden of 14, Salisbury Road. Upon completion, the house was named Image and given a number.
