Mendham Cottage, at number 8, has its roof covered by scaffolding and polythene sheeting. Planning permission has been granted by Dover District Council under application number DOV/14/00882 for the “replacement of roof tiles with new Kent Pegs, enlargement of roof light to rear and insertion of window to side elevation”

9, Dolphin Street
The scaffolding and ladder, extending to the ridge of the roof, seemed to indicate that work was being carried out to this part of the house.
The house is grade II listed and dates from the mid 19th century
