The Sir Norman Wisdom, Deal
Wetherspoons opened here on Queen Street in 2013, the building having previously been a restaurant, a furniture shop and a job centre. It is named in memory of the much-loved comedy actor Sir Norman Wisdom who spent part of his childhood in Deal.

Ordnance Survey bolt in Queen Street
Ordnance Survey bolt on south face of 14 Queen Street (then known as the Old Bank), Deal. This bench mark was established in 1851 during the First primary levelling of England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 17.900 feet above mean sea level (Liverpool datum). It was included on the London to Dover levelling line, Levelling Mark No. 366.
