An unusually named building on the High Street. It dates from the 15th century but is much altered, and according to the list description (grade II*, List Entry Number 1335883) was formerly the Rectory for St Peter's Church nearby Image

Masonic Hall, Sandwich
On the High Street.
The white building on the left is No.20 (a grade II listed building).

20, High Street
The grade II listed house appears to be undergoing a renovation. It still retains a gable and the outline of a bressummer, below its 1st floor from a 16th century timber-framed building, but because it was so entirely refronted in the 18th century and later, it has lost most of its original character https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101343738-20-high-street-sandwich#.XzrYm_5Ybcc

The Old Jail, Sandwich
Medieval streets and medieval houses still abound in Sandwich. Many of the houses have Flemish architectural styles, stemming from the influx of refugees from France and the Low Countries in the 16th Century.
