Bus leaving Westwood bus garage
An Alexander PS bodied Volvo B10M turns out of Westwood bus garage onto Margate Road. This was Stagecoach's standard single deck bus for most of the 1990s; these once ubiquitous buses are now becoming rare, so it was quite a surprise to find one here.

More shops going up at Westwood Cross!
No, you're not seeing things - there are really more shops under construction at Westwood Cross! This time, the site formerly occupied by Shoe Factory and Wickes is now being built on. At the time, there was no telling what the new stores were to be - one of the buildings was to be a Smyth's toy store as the Smyth's logo was on one of the buildings, but all the others hadn't had the store branding put on yet when I took the photo. I would imagine all the construction has finished by now and the stores are fully in business. View taken looking west-northwest towards the Westwood Cross Shopping Centre, the main building of which can be seen on the right in the photo.

Westwood bus garage
The pedestrian walkway and car park outside Westwood bus garage, on Margate Road just south of Westwood Cross. This garage provides buses for Stagecoach's services throughout Thanet.

New access road to Currys and PC World Car Park
This is the new access road (constructed in 2007) to the new Currys and PC World stores at Westwood. It is lit with some quite contemporary-looking streetlights called DW Windsor Rios, which parade neatly down one side of the road. View taken looking northwest towards Ramsgate.
