Cliffsend, A256, car park near Viking Longboat 'Hugin'
Cliffsend, A256, Viking Longboat 'Hugin'. On permanent display on the cliff top at Pegwell Bay is a replica of the Viking ship 'Hugin', which sailed from Denmark to Thanet in 1949 to celebrate the 1500th anniversary of the invasion of Britain. The 'Hugin' was offered as a gift to Ramsgate and Broadstairs by the Daily Mail for preservation. There is a pay & display car park and kiosk serving light refreshments during the summer.

The Sandwich Rd
This road overlooks the sea and the Viking boat Hugin standing on the foreshore. These houses are in between the junctions with Meverall Avenue and Mount Green Avenue

The English have Landed
This boat at Ebbsfleet, Pegwell Bay, is supposed to be a replica of the "Hugin". The first Angles to come to England was reputedly, Hengist and his men in 449 and it is thought they landed here.
