High Street
On the left is the Post Office and next to it is Archies fish and chips shop, whose right side is seen to be boarded up but a sign said it was open for business as usual. At the top of the road is the New Inn public house, with its white-painted exterior.

The Golden Buddha Chinese restaurant has changed ownership twice since this photo was taken.
It became "New Territories" then a few weeks ago "Dragon's Inn"
40 years ago it was an old fashioned grocers called "Vyes". It was bought out by "Liptons" who moved to new premises, which you can see boarded up, as a supermarket.
It was sold on,failed and converted to the local library and neighbourhood centre about a year after this photo was taken.
The pub on the right is "The New Inn"

"The Attic", Minster, Thanet, Kent
View taken from the car park of the "New Inn" public house.
Previously "The Attic" a general shop and watch repairers, was known as "W G Slaughter and Son" which, just after its 70th anniversary, was sold by "the Son" to its present owner Bob Grove.
The building next door is a Chinese restaurant.
