Wood sculpture in Ellington Park, Ramsgate
Using the stump of a felled tree, Steven Andrews has created this to commemorate the 'Tommies' of World War I. It was commissioned by the Friends of Ellington Park a year ago. In the background is the children's playground.

Stop Live Exports - the first bandstand
This rally at Ramsgate was called to demonstrate against the export of live animals for food from the UK. Currently the Port of Ramsgate is used as the usual berth at Dover Docks is damaged. The march, attended by about 400 people, went from this bandstand in Ellington Park to the one on Wellington Crescent - see Image
