Spencer Square, south east side, Ramsgate
This and the north east side of the square were developed by James Townley in the 1830s, replacing barracks that had been developed during the Napoleonic wars. Listed Grade II as a complete terrace.

Looking north-northeast along Paragon
The house, with its frontage covered in scaffolding, was number 3. It appeared that the scaffolding was to aid the repainting of the exterior. One can sit here, in the rather ornate shelter, to admire a view of the sea. There is another shelter in the distance, to the left of this shelter.

The Paragon, Ramsgate
Late Georgian terrace of individual houses, dating from the 1810s as part of the expansion of Ramsgate as a popular seaside resort for the wealthy. Many, but not all, of the houses are Listed Grade II.
