The nearer building – see also https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7280451 was built around 1898 for a local wine merchant. The house on the far corner is older, mid 18th century with possibly a timber frame. Both Listed Grade II.

Bus on Leopold Street, Ramsgate
An Optare Solo, operated by Stagecoach on the 34 to Minnis Bay, waits on Leopold Street in Ramsgate town centre. The canopy attached to the multi storey car park appears to be intended to shelter waiting passengers, but appears to be ineffectual against side winds.

This is the property that that has had scaffolding erected on its frontage and side wall. Planning permission has been granted by Thanet District Council under application number F/TH/13/0063 for the “erection of a five storey building with underground parking containing nine flats, following demolition of existing building”.
