The Granville Hotel, Victoria Parade
A Grade II listed building. Edward Pugin built a terrace of houses here and then converted them into a hotel with lavish fittings, Turkish baths, etc. Unfortunately this bankrupted him in 1872. The building suffered severe bomb damage in World War II and some post-war demolition followed. The building has been restored, the west end has been rebuilt and flats have been constructed therein. As can be seen, there is more work in progress.

The terrace and park were laid out in the first half of the 19th century. In World War Two, the park was one of the entrances to Ramsgate's extensive complex of air raid shelter tunnels.
